Photographing in Denali National Park

May 26, 2010 | Tags: , , , , ,

We came across a nice video we wanted to pass along about the wonderful encounters with nature many photographers have when spending time in Denali National Park and Preserve. Tom Mangelson shares one particular story of his wildlife interaction while in the park a couple of years ago:

If you have stories of a similar kind from your Fairbanks, Denali or Interior Alaska adventures, let us know by leaving a comment. We would love to share them with folks planning a future trip.

View Fairbanks Guide on iPhone/iPad

May 25, 2010 | Tags: ,

The online version of our printed Fairbanks Visitors Guide is a great resource for your Fairbanks, Denali or Interior Alaska trip. Unfortunately, people who want to get a look at the guide while they are on the road with an iPhone can’t see our Flash version. The good news is that Issuu also offers an iPhone/iPad-friendly version, which you can view below.

We have set up a page with this version available year-round so you can have access to our full array of resources, even while you travel. Our website is also fully compatible with the iPhone, so you can always visit ExploreFairbanks.com as well. Let us know if we can do anything further to help you plan a successful Interior Alaska itinerary online.

Denali: Perfect Location for Visual Journalism

May 14, 2010 | Tags: , , , , ,

I happened to run across this terrific audio slideshow this morning featuring a great series of photographs from Denali National Park and Preserve. Kent Miller is a professor from Michigan that photographs in the park each summer. He also brings students to the Denali to learn and photograph. What a great opportunity to see one of the most magnificent, scenic places in the world!

Find the full series of Kent Miller photographs and audio slideshows on his trips to Denali at his blog. We also provide information on booking your Denali vacation.
