We had more entries than anyone can ever remember in a single three-month period for Jan. through Apr. 2010. As you can see below, all of the entries are terrific. Selecting only three favorites is going to be a difficult task, but alas, that is your task. Select and vote for your three favorites below:

Entries for Quarter 2, 2010 are already pouring in, so if you want to get in on the next round, head on over to the photo contest homepage and enter your five best Fairbanks, Denali, Arctic or Interior Alaska photos. Friday it was sunny and 75 degrees. From my upstairs office window I could see the last of the ice from upriver flowing quickly through downtown:

Fairbanks has the most consistent warm weather of any destination in Alaska, and has nearly 24-hour daylight (midnight sun) all summer. So…after the last of the ice in the river is gone, and looking out the window right now it seems it is, we have a generally beautiful season ahead of us.
